Hometown Roots has been created and inspired by me, Kathleen Tedesco. For those of you who don't know me and are new to Hometown Roots let me tell you a little about me. I had a calling at a young age and always wanted to be a hairstylist. I pursued my schooling while in high school, attending vocational school for a portion of my days. I have worked in several different wonderful salons around Chester County, and have gained a great amount of experience and knowledge during those years. After years behind the chair, I went back to school for an educator's license, wanting to help lead and educate in the industry. I have a passion for hair and a burning desire for real human relationships. My team and myself have attended many training and educational classes to keep up with current trends of our ever evolving industry. Most important for us is the knowledge to be able to perform beautiful and proper hair services all while caring for the integrity of the hair. Chester county is a unique area of many small towns that serve their communities well, and we want to be part of such a welcoming community such as Kennett Square, Pa. Serving one another and connecting to one another is paramount to our success. Coming from a small community myself my roots are here, but in a vast world my spirit soars. We have acquired a small team that values everyone’s needs and desires for beautiful and healthy hair. We strive to make every guest feel valued and heard, and do our very best to make your visit a memorable visit to our salon.
All hair care services are performed with an individual detailed consultation, proper booking for desired results all while utilizing high quality hair care products to achieve the desired results for each individual guest. We encourage proper at home regimens to properly preserve the desired hair-color results and integrity. We utilize Moroccan Oil and American Crew products at Hometown Roots hair salon.
At Hometown Roots we are following the suggested CDC guidelines, as well as social distancing regulations. All equipment, common areas and tools are all disinfected with hospital grade disinfectant to ensure everyones safety during these times. The salon industry has always been held to a high standard of cleanliness, and we continue to practice that even more now. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable in our environment. If you have any specific concerns, please let us know and we will address them accordingly.
At Hometown Roots we will NOT be processing tips on any card transactions. To fully explain why, small businesses take on a substantial financial burden on allowing tips on card transactions. A much higher fee than a cash withdraw from personal accounts. So while we truly appreciate your gracious gift to us we would prefer cash for tipping.
We will no longer be accepting tips via Venmo moving forward. We thank you for understanding.
Please be aware that our physical address is 108 Sycamore Alley. There is a small parking lot free of charge, but does not guarantee a parking spot. There are many alternatives to parking. Please feel free to either download PassportParking app or go to ppprk.com to configure parking arrangements for paying meters. They also take coins or tokens, but the app is more efficient especially if your appointment is running longer than expected. On street parallel parking is an option if your comfortable with that or the easiest option is the main parking garage in Kennett Square and walk two blocks to our business. Also the Kennett library has metered parking that is two blocks from our business as well. We are located at the backside of La Verona restaurant. Bottom backside ground level entrance of 110 State street block of Kennett Square.
As we all know very unforeseen circumstances come up and we are more than understanding in that event. Please be mindful that our staff works off of commission based pay. In the event of a last minute cancelation and the appointment cannot be filled, they miss out on revenue. We require a credit card for booking ALL appointments. In the event of shorter than a 24 hour cancelation we will charge half of the total scheduled services. We appreciate your understanding and support.
